It seems that the font doesn't only contain the Light version - otherwise the bold characters would be calculated from the light ones without losing them in Bold. But for the moment this font is not able to be used in languages with unsupported characters. So we are in a similar situation as last year in the OOo branding team. Over there we searched thoroughly and decided to use M+ P1 as accompanying font for the OOo logo. I'd suggest to do the same here until the work on the Vegur font reaches a more or less final status: http://mplus-fonts.sourceforge.jp/mplus-outline-fonts/design/index-en.html#prop Direct download: http://downloads.sourceforge.jp/mplus-fonts/6650/mplus-TESTFLIGHT-038.tar.gz I don't know at the moment if this archive works on Windows too, but I can't spend the time to look at it in dept at the moment. Best regards Bernhard
So, should we then advise the different language marketing groups to make use of the Mplus fonts for their design and content until the Vegur font work is completed? Why should we just not adopt and improve on the Mplus font set instead of Vegur? Is there a technical reason why we are so set on Vegur?
Just wondering.
