It starts with a date before TDF/LO was even started or needed a web
site or hosting company.
Yes, it should be dealt with by the company that is leasing the IP
address to TDF, or so I was told by the tech support people who uses
that black list. He cannot figure out why anyone would black list any
IP address that is used by LO. He is a LO user.
I think there was some trouble with a holder of several of the 5.x.x.x
IP address. It seems to read, from the black list company report, that
there was problems with the original user of the IP address [s] or maybe
how fast the leasing company dealt with the problems.
What ever caused that IP address LO uses to be black listed, it should
be cleared up for a new user to lease it without them being black listed
for someone else's issues/problems.
How long will it take to do the full process? Even if it was fixed at
the black listing company, it would take weeks or months for all the
different users of that list to update their copy of the list or
"report". I had one Hosting account change where it took over 2 weeks
for my Internet access company to update their DNS/routing system to
reflect the change in the DNS listing to match my domain name to the
hosting company's server[s]. Of course, that was over 10 years ago,
before I switched to one company for both domain name and web hosting.

I agree with everything said here, the question to check is when was it
black listed if it was black listed before the TDF obtained that ip address
a request can be made to remove it usually.

I thought this might be needed to be stated on this list. . . .
I have had 3 different LO list email"accounts" start bouncingback to LO's
system - but not all of them.

I have emailed Florian about this issue that has been picked up now that
there has been an upgrade to the "list management package".
I have found out that LO is using an IP address that has been black listed
at "apews.org".
The query to their system states
"Entry matching your query: E-179983 5.0.0.0/8"
"Special Reason: IP allocation to providers with a bad reputation"
and
"History: Entry created 2007-05-28 2012-05-31: Reason changed from No
traffic until allocated IP allocations to providers with a bad reputation"
It looks like someone using that IP, or IP address's original service
provider, had a "bad reputation" and now that the "
bilbo2.documentfoundation.org**" is using a "5.9.xxx.xxx", the system of
the provider of the email account[s] I use uses several black listing
services. It seems that only one has the "5.9.xxx.xxx" IP address in their
system. LO was not even around back in 2007. So I was told by my email
people that the IP provider may need to address this with the black listing
service.
"pumbaa.documentfoundation.org**" is using a "176.9.xxx.xxx" IP address
thoughand it seems to be unaffected, so far.
I really hate that a good company/organization gets to have problems from
someoneelse's problems with an IP address [or range of] that we/they have
now that was leased to some trouble maker in the past.
SO
if you, like me, use Godaddy.com to host your email
account[s]/domain[s]/etc., then yo might be affectedlike I am.
But the weird part is that not all of the posts from all of the threads
for the 3 lists are being bounced back to LO's system.

By-the-way
when I told support person at Godaddy.com which domain the IP address was
for, he had nothing but good things to say about LibreOffice. He is a user
himself. He "loves"LibreOffice, he stated.
