Instead of the side menu, have you considered a dropdown menu
(dropping down from the top menu)?
It would gain a lot of space on the left...
IMO, a screenshot of the start center would be the thing to have on
the homepage... visually, it provides the greatest screenshot
marketing potential, and it also hints at LibO's functionality. Maybe
IMHO, the Twitter and RSS feed widgets would give more of a feeling of
a *live* site...
The start center is going to have a nice big screenshot in the
Features page anyway.
