I meant both on hovering and on selection. Selection works on touch
interfaces.

Not that I could speak for Alex' intentions, but I guess that's a simple misunderstanding. I think double-click was supposed to close the dialogue and open the template. The alternative way to do that (AFAICS also available) would be single click on a template, then single click on Open (or whatever the primary button in the window will read eventually).
