one
offers a simple summary table and big green download button. Very user
friendly. The new LO site does no have enough content yet to get a clear
impression of how it has improved.
In terms of user feedback/content, the AOO page provides a lot more
opportunities:
1) There's a score from 1-5 stars
This is similar to , but provides more granularity, than an up/down vote.
2) "Compatible with OpenOffice 4: Yes"
We don't have any uploaded files on the extension test site to compare...
3) "User feedback: Compatible with OpenOffice 4.x? (up/down votes as
percentage)"
This kind of feedback is very useful. Even better would be a bar
chart/heatmap corresponding to each version of an extension. There
could be a slot for each version of LibreOffice (we'd only display LO
versions that have been tested).
We could perhaps take a cue from WineHQ's visualization:
https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=648
From a support point of view I feel it would also be good to enforce
visible
contact details for extension publishers. At present it can be difficult
to
track down the author of an extension. I often find myself in forum
answers
stating "(try to) contact the extension author" without being able to
offer
much in the way of further assistance.

account with extension-publishing powers?
Ideally we'd give the user an option of providing an email address or
website url. We'd want to include some language suggesting that we
might deprecate or disable the pages of publishers/extensions that
don't have an active support mechanism.
