I know that taxonomy but in my opinion it's bad because you could easily
manipulate the ranking. You could get that experience from sites of big
shops too.

Something we could decide on in my opinion is: should we open up voting
for anonymous user. This needs a working captcha/question mechanism
because otherwise we will end up in a mess of robot voting.

I don't get your request here: should I add another options field with
vocabulary for compatibility to AOO versions?

I have no fun experience with that comments/ranking. I failed to run a
program that has silver or gold status.
There is also very little feedback about the experience with programs.
We need many active user for that and some volunteers for the
administration and support.

Currently a new member (user) of the site will get the permission to
create an extension-project and to provide releases.

Every member of the site has to provide a valid email-address. Thus we
could reach out to him via this email address.

If the user creates a new project he had to provide an email-address. We
could make this address public on the project site.

He could provide an URL to a website for the project too (if the project
is hosted outside or there is a website with documentation in detail etc.

The data (email-address / URL) are there but the email is not published
and I have not created a form to send a message to the author of the
extension project yet.

Maybe we should create a Redmine ticket or a wiki-site to collect the
requested improvements?
