The donation photo shuffler is broken at best and blinks on broken
links. Is that already known and fixable? I am using latest Firefox on
Linux.

Yes, happens sometimes, but in this case it seems that pics have been
removed from the previous location and therefore cannot be displayed
anymore. Shuffler works but doesn't find all images.

Is there a reason why the images were deleted? Is anyone working on
updating of trimming the photoshuffler images?

Not that I would know. Only a small group has access to the donation
pages, but the shuffler pics are usually located in a folder with public
access for all NL teams.

So maybe no pics were deleted but just moved somewhere else, possibly by
someone unaware of moving shuffler pics, the filenames unfortunately
don't imply this.
They could also have been inserted from another more (lang-)restricted
folder and are not displayed therefore.

Actually I'm not aware of a possibility of tracking deleted or moved
files in assets.
CCing Christian on this topic.

In case it is necessary to try to recover the files we might search the
database for the filenames as long as they are visible.

Cheers
Erich

I am the one who had left doubles in the created photoshuffler file folder just in case any of the other teams wanted to host all/some the photos on their own nl pages ... . If they can't be found I could see if I have doubles on my home machine rather than spending time searching through all of the files.

The photos would have eventually needed updating, but some shots were from donated nl teams who were being highlighted on the EN international photoshuffler page. It gave the shuffler more of an international feeling.

I'll take a closer look later and fix it up.

Cheers,

Marc

I've erased the blank pages and added a group shot of the LibOCon2012. It looks like someone went in and deleted a bunch of photos. Anyway, when I saved the page, SilverStripe said that I had overwritten a version saved by Florian Effenberger. So, I have not published the page as SilverStripe keeps the previous version of the page available for a roll-back.

Florian, could you check to see if publishing the page will cause any changes in the text that you were planning? Otherwise, could you just do the publishing after you have checked it out? It should fix the hiccups that we are experiencing on the page.

Let me know if the PhotoShuffler needs to be fixed again, all the images can be found in the Files & Images section in the obvious Shuffler folder.

Erich: I do have a copy of the images on my box that I had kept just in case the files were erased on the website.

Cheers,

Marc
