As far as I see it, that green "Download" button should be click-able and
should trigger the download of the latest version of the installer package
for the detected operating system and language.
This is not possible. A sinlge download button just won't work for
LibreOffice, as even on windows you have two downloads - the main
package & Help.
And it is more prominent on linux and Mac (where you cannot argue that
people don't read help anyway, and if they do they can use onlinehelp
:-) - there the languagepack, the translated user interface is already
a different package.
And re sending the other systems & languages to a list, even in table form:
LO's set of files per release is huuuuge. A simple list just won't
work. The "alternative way to download LibreOffice" on the traditional
downloadpage gives an idea. Just open the page without javascript
enabled and you'll see the huge list..
Or just look at the list of languages in the new-style download. That
list alone, for one single version and OS/platform already is big..
