Yep, for me too. never used any dbgutil thing, as far as I can recall.
Well then.  If the domain experts say so, I'll believe it. :-)  I guess
there is now one less argument for keeping --enable-dbgutil.
(I have noticed that if you build some of the lower-level modules with
debug=true, you get lots of pointless assertions for situations that
the code handles just fine anyway. But I guess this is no news to
you.)
Right; no news at all.  Vcl in particular is very notorious for
this. ;-)
