Hi, I'm new on this list

I just want to give my little opinion on the template manager work.

It's great to work on this, Templates are a great LO feature, and so improving its usability is a very good Idea

As English is not my native language, I don't know exactly what has been done and what will be done, so maybe, the things I'll talk about bellow will not be accurate.

First :

When I Launch LO, I can see pictures of my last documents. Bellow the picture, there is the name of my doc (not exactly is name, but the name of the file without extension file)

If my mouse pointer is on the picture, a little rectangle will appear with the full name (path and name) of the document

If I go to the template manager, bellow the picture, it's the real name of the template. Not the name of the file, but the title of the template. If you want to change this title, you must open the template, and then go to :
File -> Properties/Description and the fill the Title as you wish.
(I think there is a problem if two templates have the same Title)

If my mouse pointer is over the picture then, in the little rectangle, I have the same information, the Title. There is no information about the file name, and its location.

Don't you think that theses behaviors should be the same ?

Second :

Working on template is great, Why not investigate this bug while of GSoC ? (Template Changer: Allow ability to change a document's associated template) (Create possibility to replace template attached (where it is based upon) to a Writer document) (Style inherit from impress template broke document styles) ([Template manager]: Can not copy styles between different files and templates)

All this was tested with LO, and may be wrong with latest LO
