To answer Andrew's second question, so far as I know everyone is continuing
with the name LibreOffice, and Sun more or less gave up OpenOffice.org
because no one was interested in developing for it at that point.

I would be glad to assist on usability trials for icons-- it's been a huge
gripe of mine when I tried to introduce people to LibreOffice, especially
considering how they can alter if users install the LibreOffice-gtk variant
from theme to theme.= (though I encourage following GTK on Linux builds
where possible)

Hi Andrew,

if you like we can do user research to assess the quality of the icons in
order to identify those that are less usefull (and create better ones). If
you like to volunteer on this, I would be very happy to assist you on this.

Best,
Björn

I am new to Open Source and did not find them right away on in the files.
so
I figured that they mite be on the Libre design wiki or some thing. I
found them shortly after looking on the wiki and posting this email. So
the last I heard was that Oracle was going to donate the name Open Office
back to the community. Is there any news to update on this, and if they
do
is there preparation to change Libre back to Open. I don't know what I
will do with the icons but I think that they need some revamping. not
sure
if there is a wiki devoted to that or not. the hard thing to do is get
them all to be the same style. thanks for the help though.

Hi Andrew!

Great that you like the LibO icons ... concerning the remaining once,
my
answer might be not that helpful, since I'm not an expert when it comes
to our source code repository. There, you find all the (default) icons
being based on the Tango theme.

Web access is available here:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/artwork/

But how to extract them - don't know. Maybe the Tango theme page is
better suited for your needs:
http://tango.freedesktop.org/Tango_Desktop_Project

Hope this helps :-)

Cheers,
Christoph

How would I get all of the icons for LibreOffice. I mean all of
them,

save,

undo, format paintbrush, and all the rest of them. Not just the cool
LibreOffice ones.
