Ah - we already have one, a logo png, on the wiki page. It's big. It would nice perhaps to have a link back entry, just some html they could paste into a page and we feed the graphic, smaller in size as the one available is 500 px wide, and the link back to our site. One can just deliver the same wide logo but have a few different html snippets (with an example usually) available where each sizes the logo. [extra points for js and a button that puts the html to the users clipboard] We need to be sure this is how folks want it, that our site dishes up the graphic - most likely so. It isn't really a SC issue IMO - if someone wants to do it, just put it together and an email to let everyone know and give them a chance to comment. So - if someone just wants to take that on - go for it, just do it with notices in the mailing lists, be open for suggestions and it works out. Thanks DrewHi Drew: I think the nms site (http://nms-cgi.sourceforge.net/usage.html) has a nice page for this technique. Notice they don't use Javascript to access the browser's clipboard. Given the reason for nms's existence, I would defer to their judgement w/r/t/ browser security and try to avoid JS when it's just as simple to have the user copy/paste. I'm comfortable using Gimp to resize the image. I'm happy to set up a web page on the wiki for this purpose.Hi: Would you please refine the following query or copy the logo's file name to this thread? http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/index.php?limit=50&ilsearch=logo&title=Special%3AListFiles&offset=0111GS3-GraphicsGalleryFontwork.pdf&sort=img_nameYou can find both 500 and 200 px files for the logos here: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Marketing/Branding#Resources The preference would be for the contemorary logo. Will include the design list on this reply. As for where, IMO, a wiki page would be good. You could maybe work on a page under your user space no the wiki and then it can be moved into an appropriate slot with the main content when it is ready. Thanks Drew
OK. I've put a sample HTML on my talk page. http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/User_talk:JChimene It needs a page style - header, footer, page background - whatever other styling is appropriate. I'm not subscribed to the design list, so they haven't seen this post. -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to marketing+help@us.libreoffice.org List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/us/marketing/ *** All posts to this list are publicly archived for eternity ***
