Je zou verwachten dat de standaardinstellingen overeenkomen met de situatie van toen de instelling
nog niet bestond. Het tegendeel is waar. Als er nieuwe toeters en bellen worden toegevoegd staan
die vaak standaard aan, zodat het programma anders werkt dan je gewend was!
Na installatie van een nieuw programma loop ik altijd alle instellingen door en zet
spellingcontrole, autocorrectie en andere zaken die iets ongevraagd wijzigen af.
Soms heeft een programma een wizard die allerlei vragen stelt waarbij je soms geen idee hebt wat
bedoeld wordt, omdat je het programma nog niet kent. Als je dan iets verkeerd kiest kan de zaak een
ongewenste wending nemen of de instelling is later met geen mogelijkheid terug te vinden.
