Do you have much experience in CMS admin services?
I'm more of a back-end kind of guy, installing, configuring,
integrating, managing, monitoring anything from firewalls, proxies,
apache, php, mysql, tomcat, jboss, mailman, bugzilla, wikimedia, etc. to
actual troubleshooting of front-end applications.
One of my drupal highlights has been to be part of the team to host a
very popular but low budget www.sa2010.gov.za for the world cup. After a
fair bit of evaluation our team decided to choose drupal. While it may
not be perfect it did the job under a fair bit of load.
I'm still learning something new every day and it is always fun even if
under a bit of pressure at times.
Having said this, my time is limited, due to a hectic dayjob but also
because I'm involved in my kids' school.
I'm also a member of the ubuntu-za loco team and help (k)ubuntu users
where I can as and when I have time. My desktop of choice is Kubuntu
because it allows me to focus on my job while it keeps improving with
every release.
We seriously need the Open Document Format to succeed and I believe the
only way is through this new independent (hopefully) Document
Foundation. I'm very excited about these developments and am convinced
that we will see progress at a much faster pace.
