I think Jay expressed it very well. New features do hardly increase productivity. Quite in contrary, the new ribbon cause a tremendous slow down in productivity for several months and requires corporations to spend a lot of time and money to train people. Additionally MS will change to subscription of SW. Both aspects together is a chance for LibO and AOO. I am looking forward to the announcement that both teams tie up, slow down the development of new features and substantially reduce the bugs.
