You obviously need to get official labels and stuff but there is no
need to download packages. There is already an all_platform DVD
available in the mirrors...

Maybe it hasn't been announced but it's there since Feb 5th ;)
That link shows an All platform ISO but it also shows a "de"
language code in the file name. Since I am in the USA and we use
English, for the most part, in my area of New York State I would
prefer to have a English CD or DVD ISO file if I do no make my own.
[..stuff..]
If you're interested, Friedrich and Erich together with Uwe (they did
most of the work for this ISO) will gladly help you, if you want to
lend a hand to create a "truly" English version of the ISO. :)
I can confirm that ;o))
Email me off the list at "webmaster@krackedpress.com" and we can
"talk" some more about this. Thanks.
I'm not subscribed to this list, said I get no mails from it, so I'll do
so. You can email us at "team@libreofficebox.org" if You intend to win
the race ;o)).
There is a need or an English, and/or a multi-language ISO file that
has the software in the languages used and the add on extensions,
documentation, and templates in those different languages.
definitly it is.
I mainly deal with an all English version, but the "official" site
could have an ISO to be downloaded that has the top 5 or 10 languages
and their versions of the documents and such included. That would be
a good way to market the product.
Agreed, because a DVD is the only way to get "in touch" with the
software itself.
It can serve even people, which don't understand to download and install
from internet or even don't like to do so.
[..]
We plan to launch an international/english version of our box an we
would indeed be glad to have You on board and - of course - everyone
else interested to give a hand to achive that.
An english version is not only to serve the english speaking world but
on top of that to enable other native language teams to launch an own
project based on the international one - even if not able to read german
;o)).
So I look forward to talk about what we already have and what's
missing.
Please note: I'm not subscriber of this list. So CC me if You want me to
read someting.
Gruß/regards
