Hi Charles,

Glad to do be included.

Glad to know that a full youtube channel is in the roadmaps. Are there any online details of the roadmap that i could see?

Yes i do now the drill on how it normally works, but i'd think something of this task would need to managed and done by the TDF as part of its marketing budget.

Well i dont see any means of viewing the streams as they are live streams.

I have been jotting down ideas for videos i think that LibO should do, but unfortunately dont have the skills to actually do them.

Hello Jay,

Glad you are joining us for marketing tasks!
About the Youtube channel we only recently opened it and yes, realizing a full YouTube channel with videos of our own is on our roadmap.

But you know the drill I guess: we need volunteers for that, as these vids do not get automagically made up.

As for LibreOffice Conferences, we do have videos - more like streams actually and you can see the past streams here: http://www.libocon.org

If you woulkd like to work on videos for the Libreoffice project please let us know, Sophie, Robinson, Marc, myself and others would be excited to help you.

Best,

Charles.

Hi Sophie,

I hope this does change and you do put up videos from the various LibO
conferences as unfortunately not everyone can visit the conference and
hear the wonderful talks given. Is there a link online to videos from
the previous conferences? Does LibO produce any 30 second to 1 minute
advertisement videos?

Though the community may have little interest in youtube, it is an
excellent and cheap avenue to bring more awareness to the masses of
LibO and its advantages. You can see the linux foundation doing the
same and they have videos seen in the hundred of thousands. <

Hi Sophie,

I had replied to your tweet and wondered why the official channel isnt
linked to on the LibO website and why the channel doesnot contain videos
of its own.
The idea was more to link to videos made by community members than
manage our owns, but nothing prevent this to change :) As for why it's
not linked on the site, I don't know, may be because the community has
little interest for YouTube.
Kind regards
Sophie
