I think the QA team's recent competition was good for building up the
community spirit.
Well the contest could have had a much better timing and more
volunteers (because of the timing issue).
People on the User List seem to quite like it when they get invited
to join in other lists or other teams.
Indeed they should not hesitate to join but only if they feel they can
contribute (technically or otherwise).
They don't always join in
straight away because it's a bit intimidating and they seem to think
they will need coding skills to join in elsewhere. Obviously posting
too often would be annoying. Perhaps 1/month? more often? less?
You mean posting one time a month on the marketing list or reminding
people on the users list that they could join various teams?

mailing lists, that there is a place for everyone in our
TDF/LibreOffice communities and that any contribution, small or
large, are most appreciated.

Good catch! And thanks for bringing back an important topic on the
table: our community is what we do and who we are, and the primary
mission of the marketing team is to act as an information bus across
our community - and to as well as from the "outside".
