sat-Olck has not been added to LibreOffice source code, yet. The old sat
translation is part of LibreOffice. It is written with Devanagari script.
As far as I'm concerned this translation is not maintained. So the fastest
and easiest for you would be, if you used the sat language code for your
work (unless someone heavily opposes this idea).
Yes, I oppose. Reusing codes is never a good idea and creates confusion,
the more as sat-IN was also usable as document content language tag with
even locale data being available and a plain 'sat' does a fallback to
the sat-IN locale.
Bah, this is confusing, sat-IN locale data was explicitly added for
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154987 which was for
Santali Ol Chiki.
In Weblate there currently are 3 (!) Santali translations:
https://translations.documentfoundation.org/languages/sat/
https://translations.documentfoundation.org/languages/sat-Olck/
https://translations.documentfoundation.org/languages/sat_OLCK/
The latter tag sat_OLCK is plain wrong anyway and should be removed.
So the current ongoing Ol Chiki translation is sat-Olck I presume? And
the plain 'sat' is Devanagari but didn't make it to product and
apparently never had locale data?
In that case I suggest I rename the sat-IN locale data to sat-Olck-IN
and translation sticks with sat-Olck.
