Hello world,
I was wondering about the state of the Flat icon set
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Design/Whiteboards/Flat_icon_set, is
it abandoned or simply inactive? Because I would love to work on it.
Given that this is a community-run project, it's a bit of both. We're
working on a new icon set, but one based on the Gnome icon theme. If you'd
like to help with that, tell us in a reply (and perhaps tag Alex Wilms in
the message, as he's the one who's working on it).
However, a flat icon set might come in handy, either for future use in our
Android port or as an optional icon pack users could switch to, so you're
welcome to take that project and lead it. You could use Gnome's symbolic
icons as a basis (more appropriate for the desktop version) [1] and
probably Android ones as well, though I don't know what the license is on
those. And if you'd like to use our social networks to get the word out,
just tell us.
