Should I maybe use another color than blue for the extension icon?
And regarding the document within the folder: Should that be a LO
document or a generic one?
Thanks for you work on this.
If you are looking for another colour, please take colour contrast
into account. I think the contrast between the current green arrow
and its blue background is a bit low for people with colour vision
issues. For tools to evaluate colour contrast, please see
<http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Design/User_Experience/Tools#Evaluation>.
For choosing a colour that contrast sufficiently with a colour that
you have already chosen, you can use the tool at
<http://www.joedolson.com/color-contrast-tester.php>: enter the RGB
code for your chosen colour in the input field and let the
application generate at least a few hundred "WCAG Valid Pairs".
On a related note: is the design team also working on the Start
Center in general (i.e. not just the icons)? If yes, could you have a
look at bug 41440:
<https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41440>? This is about
Start Center text that becomes invisible when Windows is in high-contrast mode.
Best regards,
Christophe
Greetings
Alex

[1] I know, we do include a PNG version of this same icon in LibO, but
I still don't think you can just use the differently licensed SVG
version for these purposes.
