I believe that the Citrus UI was an awesome step in the right direction,
modern, sleek, minimal, perfect.

Then maybe it should be time to start having a discussion thread on what
sort of changes need to be made both in preparation and for when LibO 4
actually starts being put together. I know that the main UI devs are
against sudden change to the UI, but there are somethings like this idea of
changing toolkits for at least the gui side of things that DO need to be
discussed sooner rather than later and it would certainly be easier to test
new ui features and ideas by writing them straight into the new UI rather
than have them in the old one. What would be an ideal solution is to have
a LibO 4 pre-/apha version come out with a toolkit and UI rewrite WHILE a
LibO 3.x version is out and still being mantianed. this would allow the
dev and early testers to test the new UI elements before they would become
final and allow commentary on them while not forcing everyone to use it at
the get-go.

Hi again,

here's an addition I didn't mention before: our (public) API's are
also frozen until LibO 4.0 (whenever that will be, maybeit comes right
after 3.7, but it could also take until 3.13 or so), so until 4.0, no
change of toolkit will even begin to happen.
