Hi everyone,
Given that we plan to rewrite the UI for the Android platform, I'm
wondering how much of this rewrite work can be shared with the desktop
LibreOffice. More importantly, I'm wondering whether a rewrite is also
planned for the web version, as converting VCL into GTK+ into HTML seems
less-than-ideal. Would it be possible to do a gradual rewrite of
LibreOffice into GTK+?
Lastly, I ask whether LibreOffice plans to become a "tailored app" for
Windows 8, in which case it would also need to undergo a UI rework.
P.S. Just out of curiosity, has the no-LGPL restriction of the iOS AppStore
been resolved? Or will LibreOffice ship with a different license for that
platform, considering all developers agree?
