* when you offer work, there are some people who are not shy of making
opinionated statements even when they never/rarely do any actual
useful work for the project. You don't need to pay too much attention
to them. But do remember that the people who actually use your work
and make the requests for graphics are extremely grateful for your
work, and admire and respect your creativeness and skill.
I find this kind of statement quite counterproductive, especially when
the author of the thread has asked to feedback from the community. While
some individuals may not seem to make any tangible contributions that
may seem useful, their opinions may be of great asset to the project.
Contributions to the project come in all forms and opinions are one of
them. This kind of rhetoric will only discourage participation of our
membership in discussions where opinions are sought. Opinions from all
are welcome and valued.
Aleksandar -- As to the new web banners, the marketing teams do need the
original files in order to rework the wording. Thus far we have been
using .svg but if provide us with photoshop files, I am sure we can find
other members on our teams who would be able to transfer/translate these
into the formats that we are used to work with.
And, like all the others on this thread, your graphics are most welcomed
and appreciated. They, as you have suggested, are inspiring. Thanks for
the contributions and I hope to see more of them when you have time.
