Hi all,
Back in June [1] there was some great discussion about improving the
download page. Given that no major steps have been taken toward an
implementation, I'd like to take up this effort (with your help and
feedback of course!)
In preparation for work on the download page, I have created a
proposal for an updated home page button based on Nik's design and
with help from Christoph [2]. As you'll notice, it's a heck of a lot
more prominent than the current one, and far better looking in my
(humble) opinion :). The button on the actual download page would look
similar to this.
I'd like your feedback on the following in particular:
1) The mouseover effect: if you don't like it, please suggest a different one.
2) The download icon. There are already a few different proposals
based on past discussions [3]; let me know if you prefer one of these
instead.
Regards,
Ivan.
