Hi,

As a LibreOffice user, I feel changes are too slow... ;-)

So, beside the current organisation of UX group, I asked myself if it be possible to work on urgent/easy items ? The idea would be to (try to) resolve some UI/UX problems in LibreOffice 3.5 (and 3.6 ?). The short delay impose a light process of UI/UX validation.

It would be UI/UX problems/enhancements that are :
- easy to develop : move/rename items, change default values, simplify, make obvious... - won't have too much impact in the future : no problem if LibreOffice 3.7 or 4.x or 5.x changes again

And from a non-technical point of view, it would send a signal to all users : "LibreOffice is really changing !"

There is already a proposal list fo GSOC 2011:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/Gsoc/Ideas#UI_cleanup
To add some ideas, we can make a kind of survey ? or we use only our own experience ? I have my own list ;-)
(Or do I just have to add my list of requests/bugs in bugzilla ?)

Do you think it's a pertinent idea ?

Michel
