Softwarebedrijven konden intussen een licentie kopen op Unix om een
eigen versie op de markt te brengen. Voorwaarde was dat zij de naam Unix
niet voor hun product gebruikten. In 1980 ontwikkelde Microsoft zo'n
eigen versie, die verkocht werd als Xenix en uitgroeide tot
(waarschijnlijk) de meest gebruikte Unix.
Misschien moet Jk Nieuwenhuizen Xenix van Microsoft eens installeren en
ophouden indianenverhalen (geknipt)te vertellen.
Nu weer gauw terug naar LibreOffice. :-)
