Excelで確認したところ、「検索方法」で合ってました。


ご確認ありがとうございます。助かります。



ただ、Calcでの値の説明が「値がTRUEもしくは与えられていない場合、行列の検索列はひと続きの範囲で、かつ昇順に並べ替えられている必要があります。(提案より)」
となっていることを考えると、「検索範囲の並び替え」が良いと思います。


「同引数は検索範囲（検索列？）が並べ替えられているかどうかを指定するフラグだ」という発想ですね。
私も似た発想が頭の片隅にあるような気はします。
ただ文末が「並べ替え」だと、動作として並べ替えを行わせる指定をしているような印象を私は受けます。
それで"行列の並べ替え状況"と提案しました。
今思うと"行列の"はいまいちに思えてますが（苦笑）。

整理は一旦スレッドをまとめます。
