I cannot comment on community activities because I don't follow them up due to time reasons.

"not popular" - this is definitely an important information for our marketing people or the entire 
community to do efforts in these area.  To encourage people to download, install and use LibO, i 
personnaly would always go for "popular" image. See also my reply to Volker.
