thanks for your report! So, I tried it, but could not reproduce. The 
file you mentioned downloads just fine for me from the Nexcess mirror, 
and the MD5 sum is the same as the original one shown at 
http://download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/portable/4.1.4/LibreOfficePortable_4.1.4_MultilingualNormal.paf.exe.mirrorlist

We had some discussions on that topic, and in the end agreed to show it 
on the Italian portable download page: 
http://it.libreoffice.org/download/portatile/

There is no denial of service, luckily. ;-) What we see is some problems 
with the load, due to the grown demands and the grown userbase, which 
makes the web site slow sometimes.

After having tweaked the databases and tried to get better performance, 
finally yesterday we have ordered an additional server, where we will 
migrate the main Silverstripe instance to soon, which hopefully will 
cure the glitches.
