I just went to one of the listed US and/or NA mirrors listed in the
"Info" link on the green download button.

As for the mirror that was chosen for me, how do I find that out?

the easiest thing to determine your IP address as well as the mirror chosen for you is to go to e.g.

The first mirror shown is the one chosen for you, and you also see your IP address.

Can you check if the problem persists today?

Below is the star of the listing from the link you listed.

I think I manually went to the ""; mirror to download the files, when the chosen mirror was so slow.

With most colleges out for the summer, a college server sometimes can be fast for downloading files.

So it looks like the ""; was the problem mirror. Ithink it was the first on the mirror list back then as well.

I just tried downloading the 4.1.0 Windows install, from the main download page. The download was to take me 23+/- minutes, instead of the 5 +/- minutes it took me with the manually selected mirror I chose yesterday. At least it is not telling me it would take over 2 hours to download, like it did yesterday.
