disclaimer: I did not manage to keep up to date with regards to the forums, so maybe I missed a point, but:

Why do we discuss at large about moving to forums? I thought we only wanted to start with user support and eventually see what's going to happen?

I *really* would like to avoid moving many contributor mailing lists to a forum. I myself would not be involved much in forums - anything that's outside of my mail client requires lots of extra amount of work...
