Hi Alex,
Just wanted to let you know that there is a new version of OpenMeeting
out v.1.7. I couldn't find the version number of OpenMeeting on our
server or in any of the OpenMeeting sections.
Cool - thanks for the hint. I had a look at the project page and noticed
that they also have a new website:
http://www.openmeetings.de/
I think OpenMeeting is of
interest to some design members. We should find some time to test it
with 5-6 members to see if it works and take into any account any lag or
planting of FireFox.
Personally, I tried some stuff being "solo". You may have noticed the
"Design Team Test" room ... of course, that doesn't tell you anything
whether it works for a real conference. Besides that, I'm not even sure
about the quality of mic+speakers on my laptop (I don't own a headset
yet...).
However, it would be truly amazing if one can spend a bit time and do a
(Doodle?) poll to get a suitable number of people for testing ... I'm
unable to do that at the moment (got stuck with two other topics). For
the test, I'll try to join, of course.
Is there also a way to correct a typo in the right hand side pane. It
says "Webside" instead of "Website".
Mmh, good catch ... it seems to be tweakable by the Language editor
which says:
<string id="286" name="dashboard_quicklinkhomepagelabel">
<value>Project Webside (code.google.com/p/openmeetings/)</value>
</string>
But, changing that does only help "us", but not the project. But the
more interesting part is, that we could change that values for LibO :-)
Well, once we#re sure it really works ...
Cheers,
Christoph
