Hi Christian,

2011.02.10 03:47, Christian Lohmaier rašė:
sorry for the delay, that mail has been in draft for too long, and
also I forgot about the translation as well. it's now added.

Thanks. Weirdly, the Installer word isn't translated, but ahh, I see my bug. Can you please fix the language code in line #8 without me providing an obvious patch?

3) is it possible to hide the page identifier from the Home page URL's
the LibO logo now links to /home/ instead of just /)?
Hmm - why does that bother you?
It is of course possible, but that requires tweaking the templates,
and thus is work :-)
well, I don't want a heading saying "Home" on my home page, it just looks a
bit lame. Someone did remove that heading from the English home page, so
let's just assume that my reasoning is the same.
No - it wasn't removed - it just isn't necessary, since it uses the
default of "home" and thus did not set "use as default homepage for
domain". And when that is empty, it just uses the default (i.e. no

The way the link is generated is the same for the mainsite as it is
for the other sites.
<a id="Logo" href="<% control Page(/) %>$Link" title=<%
sprintf(_t('Navigation.GOTOPAGE','"Go to the %s page"'),$Title.XML)
%><% end_control %>></a>

But yes, it's possible to not use the $Link control, but just hardcode / here...

Uh, it seems I changed the subject in my last comment...

Anyway, yes, if this is the case, then I think it would be nicer if the slash was hardcoded.

By the way, I just quickly checked the fr and fi sites, and the logos on both of them link to /home/ and not /. And I think that back when my home page was named "home", it was also the case.

I would still prefer to simply have them dropped (and I don't mean just my
NL site – I think dropping them wouldn't hurt any of our websites). It's
pretty obvious that the green strip is a menu, so there's no need to say "Go
to page X" on a menu item that already says "X". It's just useless.
No, it isn't just saying X when the item says X. It just happens to be
the same when the navigation title (the string in the menu-navigation)
is the same as the actual title of the page.

Well maybe it's then possible to drop that attribute when the navigation title is empty (can it be empty)? I would clear the navi titles of my pages, and the problem would be solved.

OTOH, I would think that the navi title should contain the whole text ("Go to page ... ") instead of just the page name. As is, it's quite inflexible.

Also, similarly to the ability to translate word "installer", we'd like an
ability to name language packs and help packs both in the list right below
the drop-downs, and in the tree called "Other way to download LibreOffice,
the productivity suite". They could look like:

For the first list:
Language pack – %s
Help pack – %s

For the second list:
Language packs
Help packs

I don't have the translations for them ATM, but will post them tomorrow if
you OK this request.
Hmm - I don't see the need, but it is of course possible to have them
translatable, but I don't understand what you mean with "first list"
and "second list" - and more specific why it should be different

By "First list", I mean the list of files offered for download below the drop-downs. In my case:

* LibO_3.3.0_Linux_x86_install-rpm_en-US.tar.gz 148 MB (installer)
* LibO_3.3.0_Linux_x86_langpack-rpm_lt.tar.gz 2.2 MB (lt - Lietuvių kalba)
* LibO_3.3.0_Linux_x86_helppack-rpm_lt.tar.gz 8.7 MB (lt - Lietuvių kalba)

The problem here is that both the help pack and the language pack are simply called "lt - Lietuvių kalba" without further explanation what these files actually are. So, for this list, I'd like it to be changed to:

* LibO_3.3.0_Linux_x86_install-rpm_en-US.tar.gz 148 MB (installer)
* LibO_3.3.0_Linux_x86_langpack-rpm_lt.tar.gz 2.2 MB (language pack – lt - Lietuvių kalba) * LibO_3.3.0_Linux_x86_helppack-rpm_lt.tar.gz 8.7 MB (help pack - lt - Lietuvių kalba)

The presentation of this list could probably be improved a bit. For example, I doubt that the filename is necessary...

By "Second list", I mean the expanding tree titled "Other way to download LibreOffice, the productivity suite". There we have at least three translatable strings:

1) Version %s (it should be possible to swap version number with the text)
2) Language packs (a space is currently missing in this string)
3) Help packs (a space is missing here too)

It would be nice if we could translate them.
