A  symlink from /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ to 
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ is all you need! And it won't alter
your LO4.1 installation...

sudo ln -s /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/

for 64bits machine. Correct accordingly for 32bit environment.

It's an annoying bug indeed...
