For the avoidance of doubt, you are suffering from selective memory!  There
were (and are?) supporters of the current arrangement.  I know, because I'm
one.

Just for once I actually remembered to click Reply All, but now I
don't care any more. I hardly even bother to reply at all, most of the
time, and if I do, the reply is sent privately (by mistake, but I
don't bother to correct it – I have a life).
If that's what's people want, fine with me.
