In your favorite browser try entering localhost:631. This gets the cups internal page in Ubuntu and you might find your printer listed there. I assume this is a common method of accessing more CUPS options in Linux and possibly a MAC.On 11/08/12 10:27, yahoo-pier_andreit wrote:my samsung clp-320n isn't in the splix List of supported printers, did you use splix with this printer using another printer driver??On 09/08/12 03:39, Marc Paré wrote:Hi Steve et al, Le 2012-08-08 21:12, Steve Edmonds a écrit :On 2012-08-09 13:00, Marc Paré wrote:Hi Pier, Le 2012-08-08 14:41, yahoo-pier_andreit a écrit :on my dell latitude 6510, opensuse 12.1, kde 4.9, LibreOffice 3.5:build-403 Build ID: 350m1(Build:403), font liberation serif, printer samsung CLP-320Nusing writer, when I print, sometimes and often, the first letter of a chapter or of the table is wrong, wrong means that is an unreadable ordistorted letter. Cheers, Marc [1] http://splix.ap2c.org/I have same SUSE and LO and have not noticed the problem, but do only have postscript printers here. SteveSorry, I should have given a little more information. The SpliX driversare for Samsung printers (or others using SPL (Samsung Printer Language). The problem could be with the Samsung printer. I have had problems with my Samsung printer(s) with some of the latest kernels. Not sure why but the SpliX drivers fixed the problems. Cheers, MarcThanks mark and steve, sorry for the late but here there is a beautyful sun and see and beach and girls... :-)) and I'm taking advantage of them, I will try splix. Thnx again, ciao :-))
