The SpliX drivers are for Samsung printers (or others using SPL (Samsung Printer Language). The problem could be with the Samsung printer. I have had problems with my Samsung printer(s) with some of the latest kernels. Not sure why but the SpliX drivers fixed the problems. Cheers, Marc
