Doing the following made a day night difference for me in how fast LibreOffice opens:

Change hosts setting in hosts file for LibreOffice:
Check computer name in terminal: just enter: hostname in the terminal
In terminal, do gksudo gedit /etc/hosts
Add line as shown below for add, for instance, don localhost don.(none) localhost galaxy
4) and add a line so it looks like this: localhost galaxy galaxy localhost galaxy.(none)
5) save
6) now Writer and Calc open fast when the network connection is attached.

For anyone new reading this. replace "galaxy" with whatever you have named your computer.

Thanks to NoOp, now I know this is not a bug.
I hope that become a "lightweight" application
for many years, but it's startup is still somewhat slow for me, especially
the first time startup or when I open a big file.
Having QuickStarter is not the point, minimizing the startup time is what I
really want.
Anybody know how to make it without QuickStater or upgrading my hardware?
