Thanks to NoOp, now I know this is not a bug.
I hope that Openoffice.org/Libreoffice become a "lightweight" application
for many years, but it's startup is still somewhat slow for me, especially
the first time startup or when I open a big file.
Having QuickStarter is not the point, minimizing the startup time is what I
really want.
Anybody know how to make it without QuickStater or upgrading my hardware?
Thanks.
Regards,
Here are some tweaks that will speed up the start. Please note that you
should take down the original numbers before you change these just in
case you would like to the return to the original settings:
Open LibreOffice (I use writer for this process). Select Tools ->
Options. Select Memory.
Number Of Steps: 20
Use for LibreOffice: 128
Memory Per Object: 20
Number Of Objects: 20
Select Java.
Use a JRE: Checked (Alternately, Uncheck if you do not have Sun Java
installed)
Select the radio button of the appropriate Java Engine if needed.
Click OK
Close/Restart LibreOffice which now works quicker.
