I hope that Openoffice.org/Libreoffice become a "lightweight" application for many years, but it's startup is still somewhat slow for me, especially the first time startup or when I open a big file. Having QuickStarter is not the point, minimizing the startup time is what I really want. Anybody know how to make it without QuickStater or upgrading my hardware? Thanks.
If you only do really, really simple things, and now I really mean SIMPLE things, then perhaps Gnumeric and AbiWord could work for you?
