Hi again all
OK ..a little more info... I do have Java RE 7 (32 bit and 64 bit)
installed, all previous versions (3.4.x and 3.3.x) appeared to work
until I uninstalled and attempted to install 3.4.4. At this point in
time I have attempted to install older versions of LO without success,
various different bugs are happening now, usually they don't like
version 7 of Java.
When the soffice.exe initiates the initial program load window, it shows
the programs loading and halts at "Enabling: Report Builder". Error
message is "LibreOffice 3.4 has stopped working."
Happens every time....
Thanks for your ideas so far :-)

Hi :)
Just guessing here but it sounds as tho LibreOffice works for some apps such as Writer, Calc but
just falls over when using Base's wizards?
If so then the point about java is probably the source of the problem. In Writer go up to
Tools - Options - Java
to see what version of java is being used. At a guess it's something more recent than the 6u24.
Luckily it is possible to install a 2nd version of java alongside the new(ish) one and have only
LibreOffice able to access it.

Greetings
I have been trying to get LO 3.4.4, 3.4.3 or 3.3.4 to install on Windows
7 SP 1 for the past day or so. I have downloaded all the mentioned
version with the help files and checked their MD5 sums (all are good). I
have attempted to install with and without Admin privileges and still
each version dies at trying to start the Report Builder.
Between each install I use the Windows uninstaller to wipe out each
version before I attempt to re-install a different version.
Is this a bug or just something in Win 7 sp1 that refuses to let me run
software I want?

Have you set a Java environment in Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice/Java?.
Would he have to have LO installed to do that?
