The short answer is No. He has is own agenda which is apparently to
attack any FOSS office suite that is not AOO for over some probably
imagined slight.
Acknowledging the work of people even if it predates the start of LO is
proper IMHO because they did contribute if indirectly to the project.
Also, is there truly an issue with giving proper credit, he seems to
imply no.
