Maybe... In 2012 I have been invited to conferences in Tunisia and Poland, and in 2013 I have been invited in Oman and Saudi Arabia. By the way, these are the ones that I could or I will be able to make according to my schedule. These are in addition to those I have filed papers for, which have always been accepted. So, ignoring TDF does not seem popular, but might be popular in a specific environment. I might understand the position though, as the supposedly superior license, which should have attracted hundreds of developers, is not attracting, and listening to the growth of our developers based on a copyleft license might hurt.
