As Leif said, it could be good to define the strusture of the call for
location now, but make the call much later. There is a lot to define
first, and this year conf wil help us even if we are several now to
have already organized that kind of event. We can help and share with
the next team later on.

ok - then I propose, given the overall "busy-ness" here, and some important topics on the table
(elections, foundation set-up and the like), to indeed wait until the end of the 2011 conference.

I think this is smart. It would have been better to have the 2012 location selected in advance of
the 2011 conference, but it's not and the time available isn't adequate. The event used to have to
be in easy travel distance of the Hamburg team, but now that's no longer essential I would
personally be delighted to see the conference held on other continents.

I propose we make a call for location for the 2012 /and/ 2013 conferences now, with a selection
deadline of January 2012 for the 2012 event and a selection deadline of August 2012 for the 2013
event (assuming we keep the date of thee vent in October each year). We can then in future select
the next location one year in advance and ensure the current team are able to involve the next team
in preparations as a learning exercise.
