Yes, I guess that would work, but it would just be a shame that we
wouldn’t be able to test the translations with a local build any more.
It seems like the most robust approach is to just avoid translating the
links and only translate the stub names.

I can imagine if multiple people are translating the website then it’d
be very easy to make a mistake and translate the link differently in
different places. It also means that if someone wants to change the slug
names later they can do it in one place without having to also update
all the links.
