I disabled ccache because it was not working reliably on that box, for
reason unknown... bear in mind that ccache, even when it works, does
not produce the same dramatic improvement we see on the other
platforms... in teh case of the box I mentioneed above ccache is the
reason for the range 50 to 70 minutes I mentioned on that other box...
50 minutes being a ~100% cache hit rate 70 minutes being ~0% cache hit
rate...
I enabled pch because it was claimed to speed up things... I have not
benchmark that claim.
