There is quite a backlog of work needed to make this something robust
and future-proof I think.
Lets not create a maintenance nightmare by encouraging widespread use
of that format yet (unless Tamas disagrees) =)
I agree. This 3D model feature is not actually used. I think, it will
likely be marked as deprecated after some times. So It's not worth to
invest too much time in it.
