It's true that "rebranding" was an unfortunate choice of words.
Basically, we just wanted to refresh the splash, the about dialog, and the
welcome screen. While that's not clear from the page title, it should be
clear from the scope.

It's hard to change the branding guidelines, as that would require
unanimous agreement from not just the design team, but the marketing and
website teams and the board of directors as well, and it would require
redoing a lot of the website artwork.
