Hi Christoph,

thanks for all the tips and links. I have to say that this new template
looks quite cool, too

Yes, indeed.
With it's colorful areas it might aim to a different audience (or context of presentation), but I like it too.

What I don't understand are the two-parted slides with green an white backgrounds. Perhaps they are used for images on one and text on the other side - but Paulo Jose will have had a use-case for them...

I started to make a business-orientaed template based on your slideshow.
However I didn't know how to edit the background image. I unzipped the
otp and found all the single visual elements used. Does this mean the
background images are defined in some of the xml files? I' m a bit
confused as I have read somewhere else that the backgrounds would
consist a single bitmap each.

You never need to extract any part of the ODF files (if you don't want to manipulate them without LibreOffice).

What you need is to edit the master slides. They contain single bitmaps with the triangles.

Christoph probably copied and pasted them, I don't know if they are arranged manually...

Thats what I've achieved so far: http://ubuntuone.com/p/w5D/

I like the look for LibreOffice related presentations. Don't know if it works for unrelated presentations too.

And for a default template we probably need to have Christoph's approval to use the design and it's elements under public domain license - with the present licenses (I think it's CC-by-SA, LGPL 3+ and MPL) corporate presentations with internal content might have to be considered as non-compliant (as they can't be licensed similarly).

Best regards

Bernhard
